Is this, the end?
Luo Yang
Once. Great Nations built up their armies and fought for domination. Qin. Chu. Han. It was Liu Bang, who triumphed, and formed the Han Dynasty, ending the chaos.
Three Hundred Years of prosperity had passed, and now chaos began to reign again, as words of a rebellion were heard in the court....
Emperor Ling. Liu Hong. Was the son of Emperor Huan. However, unlike their ancestors, they both relied too heavily on the Eunuchs, which had gained much power recently, forming the Ten Regular Attendants. However, news of a plot by a group known as the Yellow Turbans disturbed him, as he took a letter from the leader of the rebellious group, Zhang Jue, to one of the Ten Regular Attendants, Feng Xu.
"Send for Grand General He Jin immediately", Ling ordered. Much of his royal life, he had relied alot on the Eunuchs, and just the thought of his loyal eunuchs betraying him and conspiring with the rebels, was too much to bare, which was why he had sent for his trusty General, who was the brother of Empress He.
"Grand General He Jin has arrived!", called the guards, as a tall slim man with a short black beard and moustache, wearing the imperial white armour, and a long silver sword by his side, entered the chamber. As soon as he came to his distance to the Emperor, he stopped, pushed his arms infront of him, putting them together, as he bowed, "I have come as requested. What seems to be the problem?"
A smile appeared on Ling's face, "I am glad that you have responded so quickly. You have served the Han well. However, I have been given a letter from the Yellow Turban leader, Zhang Jiao to Feng Xu of the Ten Regular Attendants about Ma Yuanyi's plotting to take over the court. I emplore you to take a look into this matter", he said, before dismissing the court.
"I shall act in haste for the glory of the Han", He Jin responded. Once the order for dismissal of the court was given, He Jin turned away and immediately gave orders for Ma Yuanyi to be beheaded, and those involved with the rebels from the Ten Regular Attendants to be thrown into prison. He Jin detested the Eunuchs. It was Court Counselor Cai Yong who saw the signs of Heaven to be a result of Heaven's will being interfered by the Eunuchs, and as a result, was killed.
Since the Yellow Turbans plan to stir trouble in the court had failed, it was now time to call up arms, as Grand General He Jin sent orders to Generals Zhu Jun, Lu Zhi and Huangfu Song to march in three directions. Zhu Jun was given Chang An, Huangfu Song was given Chen Liu and Lu Zhi was given Ye.
He Jin made his way to his office to fill out the required documents, and give his generals titles to perform their important tasks.

Sun Jian received word that the Emperor was going through a crisis, so he left his homelands of Jiang Dong and ventured to the capital with some ambition in his mind. If he'd agree to help the Emperor, probably rewards would come soon thereafter. So, he reachedLuo Yang's Castle and required an audience with the Emperor. "Tell him it's Sun Jian from Jiang Dong and that I'm willing to know what happened. I heard rumors of people walking around causing trouble. I am worried with the Empire. He said with the most false expression he could make. He obviously wasn't a bit worried about the Empire. In times like these, nobody should be. He was interested in the rewards he'd get for fighting bad guys. That was all.

Is this, the end?
The Han had prospered for 300 years, but little did the Han know, how much influence they once had, had gone. They wasn't only fighting to put an end to the rebellion, but also fought to show the land how strong the Han still was.
When news arrived of Sun Jian's arrival, and requesting an audience with the Emperor, He Jin grinned, "Inform him, that the Emperor is resting, and that he can see me", which was true, the Emperor had ordered him to resolve it, and that's exactly what he'd do, though inside he was worried, if Sun Jian of Jiangdong knew about the rebellion, how many followers did Zhang Jiao had? was there those with Zhang Jiao who dwell in the southern parts of the land.
He Jin shook his thoughts, he could not think of such things, once he destroys the rebel army in the north and claims the heads of the rebel leaders, people would think twice before daring to attack the Han.
Once Sun Jian had entered, He Jin turned to him as his eyes locked with Sun's, "Welcome Sun Jian. I apologise that the Emperor is not avaliable, but I hope that I can be of some use. I am Grand General He Jin, what brings you to Luo Yang?", as he studied the man. He had no sacks of gold, so he had no tribute to give to the Emperor, so must be here regarding the rebellion.
Despite not being the strongest, He Jin did have wonderful foresight, compared to the other Han Generals, and what he done well, was use the power of deduction. How else could he perform his task if he could not?

Sun Jian looked at the man and said: "You know, I came here to talk personally to the Emperor, but since you're here, you must be the responsible for this. I'm here regarding this rebellion. Do you have useful information of it for me?"
For a sudden moment, he wondered what he was doing there. Did the Han really mattered to him or he was there because of his ambitions? Then he smiled and realized that if he could get a city from the Emperor, his name would spread throughout the land. This was what he was looking for: to spread the strength of Jiang Dong to the four corners of the land.

Is this, the end?
He Jin acknowledged the fact that he came to see the Emperor. Anyone would. But in times of revolt, not only were the Han Army sent forth to destroy the rebels, but also to tighten security round the Han Capital, in particular, the Han Emperor. He Jin would not even have the power he had if the Emperor didn't trust his judgement.
"I'm here regarding this rebellion. Do you have useful information of it for me?", Sun Jian asked. He Jin stood, so Sun Jian no longer stood at a higher height than him, but what made him wonder, was why he came all the way north, when the south already had it's own troubles. The south had pirates and southern tribes, and the north had the northern tribes, and now the central plains was under attack, men from the south come to take care of it. Did they think the heart of the Han were incapable of stopping this rebellion, "This rebellion, though big as it sounds, is a bunch of rabble. They are merely fanatics who wish to end the life of the son of heaven. They are no match for the Han Army".
However, thinking about it, if Sun Jian had come to pledge support, why waste his travel to deny him. Afterall, if he can deal with pirates and tribesmen, it will just end the rebellion quicker, which was even better, "The Emperor entrusted me the task, to ensure the rebels are routed, that will I do. As for information, they call themselves, "the Yellow Turbans" after their leader Zhang Jiao. The other rebel leaders are his brothers, Zhang Bao and Zhang Liang. They have six cities under their control, but are outnumbered. If you wish to lend us your support...", not continuing as he gave him the opportunity to either accept the proposition, or deny.

Sun Jian smiled. Everything was going according to his hopes. He would accept He Jin's proposal and ask for a city to attack the Yellow Turbans. Then he would gain renown over the land because of this, and his dreams of expanding Jiang Dong's strength to all the continent would come true. "I accept your proposal. I came from far away just to protect the Han, and I will do that if it's the last thing I do! Just give me a city to defend, and I'll make the Court proud!
Sun Jian saw his reflex in the man's sword and thought: "Right now, the real me is at the sword: fighting for something he should fight for, the Empire. After I quell this rebellion, I swear this sword will not exist anymore. I can't take off the Yellow Turbans' reasons. The Han is collapsing as fast as a hurricane, and this can mean great fortune to me. This opportunity is great. His reflex revealed one tiger of a man, living up to his nickname: he wore a red helmet with a gold trim, a dark red light armor with the symbol of Tiger at chest height, white stuffed pants and knee-high black boots, making him a figure to be feared. He wielded his sword and pointed in the direction of the Emperor's chamber, a simple gesture but, if misunderstood, it could force him to run away from there. That man He Jin seemed so loyal to the Emperor that any misinterpreted gesture involving His Majesty could make him go out of control.
Sun Jian said: "This very sword has claimed many pirates' lives when everything was peaceful up here. Now it'll claim many rebels' lives when everything is peaceful down in Jiang Dong. I don't care where I am, no one can match my ferocity!

Is this, the end?
"I accept your proposal. I came from far away just to protect the Han, and I will do that if it's the last thing I do! Just give me a city to defend, and I'll make the Court proud!", he responded. The question was, which city would suit both of their needs. He then watched as Sun Jian took out his sword, "This very sword has claimed many pirates' lives when everything was peaceful up here. Now it'll claim many rebels' lives when everything is peaceful down in Jiang Dong. I don't care where I am, no one can match my ferocity!".
He Jin thought for a moment, then decided, "Then we'll put your sword and your ferocity to good use", he paused, "I have Imperial Forces at the ready at the forefront, if you were to attack them from behind, that, would throw them off guard!", he said with a chuckle, before returning to his desk, and begun writing on a piece of parchment, before stamping on his seal. He rolled up the parchment, then approached Sun Jian, holding them both towards him, "I am entrusting the city of Xia Pi to you. It is close to the Yellow Turban occupied city of Xiao Pei, and also close to the sea, should you require some more men from Jiangdong. If you show this parchment to the current governor, he will hand over his authority to you..."
He then stepped back and put his hand on the hilt of his sword, and looking straight into his eyes, "Remember this, the Imperial Army will be victorious, the rebellion will come to its end, and any actions you take, both good and bad, will be rewarded respectfully", he paused as he removed his hands from the hilt of his sword, which had the Han seal on it, to behind his back, "If at any time you require reinforcements, General Huangfu Song in Chen Liu will provide support. I shall send news of your participation straight to him, so that he and you can work in unison....Are there any questions?"

Sun Jian heard him carefully. Of course he wasn't a bit concerned about the Han or the Yellow Turbans. After the rebellion, he would sit in Xia Pi and declare independence from He Jin. "That loser can't even command himself, imagine a gigantic army![/i]
Sun Jian put the sword back in its place and bowed. "If this is for Your Majesty, consider it done." He immediately called his leave and departed to Xia Pi, his new base city.

Is this, the end?
He Jin nodded, then returned to his desk as Sun Jian departed. It was a shame that Dong Zhuo and Ma Teng were busy fighting the Qiang tribes, but now, they had the aid of Sun Jian and Gongsun Zan in the North. The Yellow Turbans had no chance. All they needed to do now was ready their troops, then put an end to the rebellion...

Guan Yu arrived in Luo Yang scratching his beard and thinking that all that rebellion would be easily quelled. He came from the north lands of Ji, where he served Liu Yan. In the way to the capital, he came across some small roving groups of Yellow Turbans, even though he tried to remain unnoticed. He saw how pathetic they were and how he could easily cut them down.
His figure stepped in Luo Yang castle, requesting reinforcements from He Jin to head back to Ji and combat the Yellow Turbans stationed near the city. He practically ignored all the guards at the entrance and rushed to He Jin's office, where he stood firmly on the door and said:
"Grand General, my name is Guan Yu from Ji and I'm here in regards of Lord Liu Yan, requesting reinforcements for the Han Forces stationed near our city. We also need supplies, or else the Yellow Turbans will easily acquire another northern stronghold. What do you say?"
He scratched his beard once more while he waited for a reply.

Is this, the end?
He Jin looked up, as a large man with a long black beard, entered his office, "Grand General, my name is Guan Yu from Ji and I'm here in regards of Lord Liu Yan, requesting reinforcements for the Han Forces stationed near our city. We also need supplies, or else the Yellow Turbans will easily acquire another northern stronghold. What do you say?".
So this was Guan Yu, one of the volunteers Liu Yan had spoken about. Liu Yan had posted up for volunteers, and now volunteers that were part of the Imperial Army. Some Han Generals feel allowing volunteers in and giving them rank is wrong after all the work they had done to get where they are. However, what they hadn't taken into account is what commitment and determination these volunteers had, to put an end to the rebels who have destroyed numerous villages.
He Jin leaned back and pulled a bell left of him. He Jin was not as dumb as he looks, the left called the kitchen and the right called guards. "Welcome Guan Yu, you've travelled quite a way, please take a seat, and tell me how Ji is doing, so I can assess the situation"

"Never mind Ji!" A voice from the back of the room called out. As the room fell silent a man stepped forward. He was a young man, with black hair and was developing a goatee, nothing in comparison to that of Guan Yu's mind. He wore imperial colours and against the law of the court, had his weapon on his hip. The man who spoke from the back was none other than Imperial Cavalry commander, Cao Cao. Cao Cao was a man who held a high position within the empire, his grandfather before him also held a high position. Once a Xiahou but know a Cao, his future was predicted, the result was a hero of chaos. The result pleased Cao Cao and spurred him on to develop himself into higher positions within the court, eliminating the yellow turbans would raise his reputation and rank. The days of the Han drew near and Cao Cao had predicted this, gathering his troops with commanders such as Xiahou Dun, Yuan and Cao Ren, he swore that he would fulfil his destiny, but to do so he would need extra troops from Grand General He Jin. "Master He Jin" Cao Cao began. "I urge you to allow me to use Imperial Troops and I shall relieve Pu Yang of Turban control. I have gathered 10,000 able men, but I fear this is not enough. Spare me 30,000 horse and foot soldiers and I shall return here victorious within a month."

He Jin looked up once again and noticed Cao Cao step forwards requesting to attack immediately. If there was one thing Cao Cao had, it was his determination and his confidence to succeed. He no doubt had that ability, but giving away troops to take Pu Yang would leave Chang An and Luo Yang defenceless should troops from Wan or Xu Chang attack.
"I do not disagree Cao Cao that you succeed, however, I do not think we should attack just yet. The enemy are commoners that have lost their way and not as smart or strong as the Imperial Army. We shall continue to build up our forces and stay put and wait for the enemy to make a mistake, which they surely will do. That is a plan that I came up with myself, not even the officials suggested it, however, what is needed is the occupation of He Nei so we can transport resources to Chen Liu if need be. I will be sending instructions to General Huangfu Song that he is to build a harbour so we can transport supplies to the North, and to Lu Zhi to occupy Shang Dang so our resources can reach Ji as requested. All our cities are important and must be taken care of. What do you think?".

While the men continued to speak of their plans for defeating the Yellow Turbans. A older fellow walked in. He took a moment to analyse each man present. Truly the servants were greater then the master... you didn't need to be a genius to see the potential people like Sun Jian and Cao Cao possessed. Wei Xun nodded in greeting to each man as he walked to a chair and sat.
"I see that many great men are assembling... While this rebellion is indeed a horrible thing. I wonder what will come of it. I Wei Xun, truly worry for the Emperor and you as well Lord He Jin." Xun lowered his head in apology. "Forgive my interrupting, please resume as you were."
